NC Calls Parliamentary Meeting Ahead of PM Oli’s Vote of Confidence

The Nepali Congress (NC) has called a meeting of its parliamentary party for tomorrow, July 21. The meeting is scheduled to take place at Lhotse Hall of the federal parliament in New Baneshwor at 12:00 noon.

The meeting comes as Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli seeks a vote of confidence in the parliament at 1:00 pm the same day. The NC’s parliamentary party meeting is expected to strategize and discuss the party’s stance ahead of the crucial vote.

CPN (UML) Chairperson KP Sharma Oli was appointed as Prime Minister on July 14 following the formation of a new coalition between the NC and UML on July 1. Oli’s appointment was made in accordance with Article 76 (2) of the constitution.
