NC General Secretary Urges Unity Within Coalition Amidst Rising Concerns
Nepali Congress (NC) General Secretary, Bishwa Prakash Sharma, has issued a warning against independent actions within the five-party alliance, citing potential crises on the horizon.
In preparation for the upcoming Mahasamiti meeting set to commence on February 19, Sharma emphasized transparency and open communication as crucial elements for the coalition’s stability.
Sharma’s remarks come amidst criticism from other alliance members, particularly concerning the recent National Assembly elections in the Koshi province, where the Nepali Congress faced backlash.
Reflecting on recent events, Sharma highlighted the importance of addressing alliance problems promptly to ensure the sustainability of the coalition government.
He expressed concern over concealing issues that could escalate and endanger the coalition’s future, stressing the necessity of open discussion and mutual trust.
Sharma submitted a comprehensive 19-page contemporary political proposal during the Central Working Committee meeting, covering critical topics such as democracy alternatives, alliances, good governance, citizens’ dissatisfaction, and shared political responsibility.
The proposal aims to foster cooperative political efforts to address the challenges facing Nepali society.
