NC leader Chandra Bhandari returns home after successful medical treatment

Chandra Bhandari, a prominent leader of the Nepali Congress, has returned home to Nepal after receiving successful medical treatment in India. Bhandari sustained severe injuries when a cooking gas cylinder exploded at his residence in Buddhanagar, Kathmandu on February 15.

Due to the extent of his injuries, Bhandari was flown to Mumbai, India for treatment and was admitted to the National Burn Hospital. After two and a half months of intensive medical care, he has now returned home.

Sadly, Bhandari’s mother, Harikala, also sustained serious burn injuries in the same incident and passed away on February 16 while undergoing treatment.
