Nepal Academy and Banaras Hindu University Sign MoU for Collaborative Research on Nepali Language, Literature, and Culture
Nepal Academy and the Department of Indian Languages, Faculty of Art at Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on research related to Nepali language, literature, culture, and philosophy.
The MoU was signed by Dr. Dhanprasad Subedi, Member-Secretary of Nepal Academy, and Prof. Diwakar Pradhan, Head of the Department of Indian Languages at Banaras Hindu University. The agreement outlines a commitment from both institutions to facilitate interaction and exchange programs focused on Nepali language, literature, and philosophy, involving literary figures and institutions from both Nepal and India.
In addition to fostering dialogue and collaboration, both parties have agreed to cooperate in research and translation efforts aimed at promoting and expanding the reach of the Nepali language. The agreement also includes provisions for Nepal Academy to provide scholarships and internships for research students studying in the Department of Indian Languages at Banaras Hindu University.
