Nepal Army Chief Holds High-Level Meetings in India
Chief of the Army Staff (CoAS) General Ashok Raj Sigdel met his Indian counterpart, General Upendra Dwivedi, in New Delhi on Wednesday as part of his official visit to India.
In addition to the bilateral meeting with General Dwivedi, CoAS Sigdel held discussions with India’s National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan, Defence Secretary, and Foreign Secretary, according to the Nepali Army Public Relations and Information Directorate.
As part of his visit, CoAS Sigdel also laid a wreath at the National War Memorial in New Delhi to pay tribute to Indian soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the nation. The Indian Army honored CoAS Sigdel with a ceremonial guard of honor during the event.
The visit underscores the strong defense ties between Nepal and India, focusing on enhancing military cooperation and strategic partnerships.
