Nepal Falls to Uzbekistan in Central Asian U20 Volleyball Championship Final
Nepal was defeated by Uzbekistan in the final match of the Central Asian Volleyball Association (CAVA) Men’s U20 Volleyball Championship, held in Colombo, Sri Lanka. The match concluded on Friday with Uzbekistan winning 3-1 in sets.
Nepal started strong, taking the first set 27-25, but struggled in the following sets, losing 25-10, 25-16, and 25-20. Despite their defeat in the final, Nepal had an impressive run in the tournament, securing victories against Sri Lanka, Turkmenistan, and the Maldives during the group stage. However, they suffered losses to Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.
Nepal earned its spot in the final by winning their last group match against Turkmenistan. The championship, organized by the Sri Lanka Volleyball Federation, began on October 6 and featured teams from Nepal, Turkmenistan, the Maldives, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and the host nation, Sri Lanka.
