
Nepal Firmly Opposes Terrorism in All Forms: Foreign Minister Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba

Foreign Minister Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba reiterated Nepal’s unwavering stance against terrorism, emphasizing that Nepal strongly condemns terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.
Speaking at a memorial event organized by the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu today, held in honor of those killed in the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, India, Dr. Rana stressed Nepal’s commitment to peace and solidarity against extremism.
“Nepal strongly condemns all forms and manifestations of terrorism,” she said. “We consistently stand against terrorist activities carried out anywhere, anytime, and for any reason.”
Dr. Rana also underscored Nepal’s strict policy of ensuring its territory is never used by terrorist groups to target any nation or community. She warned against adopting double standards in addressing terrorism and reaffirmed Nepal’s full support to global efforts against it.
Condemning the Pahalgam attack in the strongest terms, Dr. Rana conveyed Nepal’s solidarity with India during this time of sorrow. She emphasized the profound ties between Nepal and India, highlighting that the relationship is rooted not merely in diplomacy but in a shared history, culture, and enduring cooperation.
“Our open borders symbolize mutual trust, and our family ties bind us together,” she noted. “In times of joy and crisis alike, Nepal and India have always stood shoulder to shoulder. India was the first country to come to our aid after the devastating earthquake in Nepal.”
Dr. Rana also expressed gratitude to the Indian government for facilitating the repatriation of the body of Nepali youth Sudip Neupane, a victim of the Pahalgam attack, along with others affected.
Concluding her address, she paid heartfelt tribute to the victims and extended her deepest condolences to their bereaved families.
