Munu Mahawar, Chief of the India North Desk, Ministry of External Affairs of India and Nepal’s Ambassador to India, Dr. Shankar Sharma, jointly inaugurated the Nepal Pavilion at the Startup Mahakumbh in India.
A total of 19 Nepali startups from diverse sectors such as space technology, IT, artificial intelligence (AI), climate tech, edtech, and agro-processing are showcasing their innovations at the pavilion. The participation of Nepali startups has been facilitated with support from the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India.
Additionally, 10 young Nepali startup founders have received backing from DPIIT to attend the event, fostering greater exposure and networking opportunities.
The three-day Startup Mahakumbh serves as a platform for Nepali entrepreneurs to engage with India’s dynamic startup ecosystem, explore potential collaborations, and gain insights into emerging industry trends.
