Nepal Police Club Clinches Nepal Pro Club Championship T20 Title
In a thrilling final match at Narayani Stadium in Birganj, the Nepal Police Club emerged victorious, securing the title of the Nepal Pro Club Championship T20 cricket tournament organized by the Parsa Cricket Association.
The Nepal Police Club claimed the championship by defeating Parsa-11 with a commanding lead of 1 run in a closely contested final on Saturday. Opting to bat after winning the toss, the Nepal Police Club posted a competitive total of 145 runs for the loss of eight wickets in their allotted 20 overs.
Karan KC played a pivotal role in the Police Club’s innings, contributing 40 runs and smashing five sixes in just 17 balls. Other notable contributions came from Arjun Saud (26 runs) and Shankar Rana (19 runs).
In pursuit of the target of 146 runs, Parsa-11 faced a formidable bowling attack from the Nepal Police Club. The innings concluded with Parsa-11 being all-out after scoring only 45 runs in 11 overs. Sagar Dhakal, a standout performer with the ball for the Police Club, took an impressive four wickets.
Lalit Rajvanshi and Rashid Khan also made significant contributions, taking two wickets each, while Karan KC and Sher Malla claimed one wicket apiece. The outstanding performance by Karan KC earned him the well-deserved title of Man of the Match in the final.
