Nepal qualifed for World Cup Qualifiers by defeating UAE

Nepal has been selected for the ICC World Cup qualifier defeating the UAE (United Arab Emirates) by nine runs in the game held today at the TU cricket stadium.

The decision was made as per the Duckworth-Lewis rule.

UAE had earlier set a target of 311 runs for Nepal in a one-day international tri-series match of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League 2.

Electing to bat first after winning the toss, UAE made 310 runs losing six wickets in the allotted 50 overs.

In response, Nepal’s batsmen Kushal Bhurtel, Bhim Sharki, Aarif Sheikh and Gulsan Jha scored half-centuries each.

Bhurtel, Sharki, Sheikh and Jha scored 50, 67, 52 and 50 runs respectively to secure Nepal’s win.
