Nepal Restricts Netherlands to 137, Sets Target of 138
In the ongoing second match of the ICC CWC League 2 tri-nation ODI Series, Nepal won the toss and elected to bowl first against the Netherlands at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground.
Nepal’s bowlers put up an impressive performance, restricting the Netherlands to a total of 137 runs, with all wickets falling in 39 overs.
Kushal Bhurtel emerged as the star performer for Nepal, securing four crucial wickets. Lalit Rajbanshi and Sompal Kami also contributed significantly, claiming two wickets each, while Rohit Poudel added one to the tally.
For the Netherlands, captain Scott Edwards led the batting charge with 33 runs, supported by Bas De Leede with 27 runs and Sybrand Abraham Engelbrecht with 23 runs.
With a target of 138 runs set by the Netherlands, Nepal now faces the challenge of achieving victory in their second match of the series.
Nepal had previously suffered a defeat against Namibia in the first match of the series, making this match crucial for their standing in the ICC CWC League 2.
