Nepal Secures Spot in SAFF Women’s Championship Final with Thrilling Win Over India

Nepal’s spirited performance in the SAFF Women’s Championship has led the team to the finals after a nail-biting 4-2 victory over India in a penalty shootout. The closely contested semifinal match, held at Dasharath Stadium in Tripureshwor, saw both teams scoreless in the first half and tied 1-1 by the end of the second.

Nepal’s Sabitra Bhandari, known as “Samba,” broke the deadlock early in the second half, giving Nepal a much-needed lead. India quickly responded, leveling the score and pushing the game into a tiebreaker, where Nepal ultimately triumphed with a 4-2 score.

The Nepal team will now face Bangladesh in the final. Bangladesh secured its place earlier on Sunday with a commanding 7-1 victory over Bhutan. The final promises to be an exciting match as Nepal aims for victory in the championship.
