Nepal Showcases Tourism Potential at Canada’s International Tourism and Travel Show 2024
Nepal participated in the 34th International Tourism and Travel Show 2024 held at Palais des Congrès in Montréal, Canada, from November 1 to 3, aiming to boost tourism through its economic diplomacy initiatives. The Ottawa-based Nepali Embassy set up a solo stall at the event, displaying a range of tourism promotional materials, documentaries, and visual content spotlighting Nepal’s travel destinations.
Visitors to the Nepali stall were greeted with a display of exportable Nepali products, including renowned items like tea, coffee, pashmina shawls, handicrafts, and artifacts highlighting Nepal’s cultural heritage and artistry. The Embassy reported a large number of attendees expressing interest in Nepal, with inquiries focusing on seasonal conditions, temperature, travel connectivity, and the range of activities available to visitors of all age groups.
As one of the largest tourism showcases in Canada, the International Tourism and Travel Show brought together tourism promotion entities, travel agencies, tour operators, airlines, hotels, and tourism representatives from over 100 countries. The event also featured a variety of experiences, including international culinary presentations, destination seminars, business-to-business (B2B) forums, and cultural performances from around the globe.
The show offered Nepal an excellent platform to spotlight its unique tourism attractions and broaden its appeal among Canadian travelers.
