Nepal Stumbles in Third T20, West Indies A Takes Series Lead

Nepal suffered a heavy defeat in the third T20 international, losing by 76 runs to West Indies A at the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground in Kirtipur. The loss puts West Indies A ahead with a 2-1 lead in the ongoing five-match series.

West Indies A set a formidable target of 228 runs, but Nepal could only muster 151 before being bowled out. Lokesh Bam and Karan KC both top-scored for Nepal with 28 runs each, but their efforts were not enough to chase down the massive total.

Johnson Charles starred for the visiting team, scoring an impressive 119 not out from just 61 balls, including 13 fours and 7 sixes. His partnership with Andre Fletcher, who contributed 53 runs, was crucial in building their team’s commanding total.

Hayden Walsh was the pick of the bowlers for West Indies A, taking 3 wickets for 28 runs. His performance, supported by Gudakesh Motie’s 2 wickets for 28 runs, helped dismantle the Nepali batting lineup.

With two more matches left in the series, Nepal will need to regroup quickly. The teams will face off again on Thursday and Friday, where Nepal will look to even the series before the final match.
