Nepal to export 50 MW of electricity to Bangladesh

Nepal is going to export 50 MW of electricity to Bangladesh.

Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina informed about the matter during a courtesy meeting with the Ambassador of Nepal to Bangladesh, Ghanshyam Bhandari, on Tuesday.

Nepali Ambassador to Bangladesh Ghanshyam Bhandari has said that Nepal will provide 40-50 megawatts of electricity to Bangladesh in the initial phase. Bhandari also expressed his commitment to export more electricity to Bangladesh after the completion of the mega electricity project.

The Bangladeshi Prime Minister wished Ambassador Bhandari a successful tenure, saying that her government would continue to support him and cooperate with him. Ambassador Bhandari expressed his commitment to strengthen the relationship between the two countries during his tenure, according to a statement issued by the Nepali Embassy in Bangladesh on Tuesday.
