Nepal to Feature Updated Territorial Map on New 100 Rupee Notes

The Nepal government has authorized the introduction of a new map on the 100 rupee notes, which includes Limpiyadhura, Lipulek, and Kalapani within the far-western territories of Nepal. This announcement was confirmed by the Minister for Communication, Information and Technology, who also serves as the government spokesperson.
The decision follows deliberations in Cabinet meetings held on April 25 and May 2, marking a significant step in the country’s efforts to formalize its geographical representation. The Nepal Rastra Bank is tasked with implementing this change, aiming to circulate the new currency as a symbol of national identity and sovereignty.
The inclusion of these areas in the official map is anticipated to reinforce Nepal’s territorial claims and instill a sense of unity and pride among its citizens.
