Nepal Visit Year 2025 Officially Announced

The launch of “Nepal Visit Year 2025” and the “Chinese New Year 2025” was announced on Saturday at a program jointly organized by the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, the Chinese Embassy in Kathmandu, Bhaktapur Municipality, and the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB).

Minister for Energy Dipak Khadka and Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Chen Song inaugurated the Nepal Visit Year 2025 during an event held at the historic Bhaktapur Durbar Square.

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister Khadka highlighted Nepal’s appeal as a top destination for international visitors. He assured that the Government of Nepal would make every effort to strengthen economic, social, and political ties with China. He emphasized that the Nepal Visit Year would open new avenues for collaboration between Nepal and China, particularly in tourism, energy, and agriculture.

Chinese Ambassador Chen Song expressed confidence that the initiative would further enhance bilateral relations and encourage more Chinese tourists to visit Nepal.

Mayor of Bhaktapur Municipality, Sunil Prajapati, called for cooperation and coordination from all sectors to ensure the success of the Nepal Visit Year. He noted that the campaign aims to attract more Chinese tourists and bolster Nepal’s tourism industry.

Nepal Tourism Board CEO Dipak Raj Joshi urged all stakeholders to support the initiative, emphasizing the importance of making it a grand and impactful event.

The inauguration featured cultural dances and musical performances showcasing the rich traditions and lifestyles of both Nepal and China, symbolizing the friendship and cooperation between the two nations.
