Nepal vs. India Today: A Battle of Experience vs. Newcomers
Today in the Asia Cup, Nepal is going up against India, as long as the weather cooperates. The match is happening at 3:30 PM in Kandy, Sri Lanka.
This is a big deal because it’s Nepal’s first time in the Asia Cup. They’re facing India, who’s been here 14 times before. India is pretty good at cricket, they’re ranked third in the world, but Nepal is ranked 15th, and Pakistan is at the top.
Nepal’s first Asia Cup match didn’t go so well. They lost to Pakistan by a lot of runs, 238 to be exact, in Multan, Pakistan. And the match between India and Pakistan got canceled because of bad weather.
The Asia Cup is split into two groups. Group ‘A’ has Nepal, India, and Pakistan, and Group ‘B’ has Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Afghanistan. Pakistan is leading Group ‘A’, India is second, and Nepal is third. Pakistan is moving on to the next stage.
So far, India has one point from their matches, but Nepal hasn’t won any points yet because they’ve only played one match.
