Nepali Army Day Celebrated in Bangladesh

The Embassy of Nepal in Bangladesh marked the 262nd Raising Day of the Nepali Army with a special event on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion, Nepali Ambassador to Bangladesh, Ghanshyam Bhandari, praised the Nepali Army’s unwavering dedication, loyalty, and service to the nation. He also highlighted the importance of military cooperation between Nepal and Bangladesh, expressing confidence that such collaboration would further strengthen bilateral ties.

Military Attaché Colonel Anjan Keshar Khatri underscored the crucial role of the Nepali Army in safeguarding Nepal’s sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity. He also emphasized its contributions to Nepal’s socio-economic development and global peace through UN peacekeeping missions.

The event saw the participation of over 170 distinguished guests, including government officials, ambassadors, high-ranking officers from the Bangladeshi armed forces, defense attachés, diplomats, business leaders, and members of the Nepali community in Bangladesh. The Embassy stated that the celebration reaffirmed Nepal’s commitment to strengthening its military and diplomatic relations with Bangladesh.
