In response to the devastating earthquake in Myanmar, the Nepali Army has deployed a medical relief team as per the directive of the Government of Nepal.
The team departed for Myanmar today, April 2 (Chaitra 20, 2081), carrying essential medical aid.
Led by Lieutenant Colonel Ramchandra Shrestha, the 22-member team comprises medical personnel, logistical support staff, and crew members.
The team includes surgeons, orthopedists, doctors, nurses, and paramedics, along with necessary medicines and medical equipment.
They traveled aboard a CN-235 CASA aircraft of the Nepali Army and are expected to provide medical assistance to the earthquake victims for about a week.
