According to the Nepal Chamber of Commerce , Vice President Tribhuvandhar Tuladhar, various issues like possibility of new business in Nepal, bringing in investment, solving the existing business related problems and the border crossing problem, as well as conducting the stalled projects were discussed in the meeting.

Tuladhar, who is also the president of Nepal-China Chamber, said that there were also discussions about providing vocational training to Nepalis, sending teachers to Nepal to teach Chinese language to businessmen, resuming stalled trade, opening industries, and searching for new possibilities.

Chairman Tuladhar also said that the possibility of Chinese banks coming to Nepal is high. In the meeting, he said that there was also a discussion about further deepening and strengthening the relations between the two countries and the businessmen of the two countries. A 12-member team from CCPIT Beijing and CCIOC has come to Nepal for the meeting.

Nepali industrialists and businessmen are happy with the fact that the Chinese government has included Nepal in the list of tourist destinations, the list of countries that its citizens should visit.

Since the outbreak of Covid-19 in China in December 2019, Nepal’s trade through the China border has been affected. For the past several years, China has been imposing an “undeclared blockade” on Nepal by halting the free movement of goods into the country.

Many entrepreneur have committed suicide in Nepal under stress as the financial condition worsened since the containers with goods got stuck at the Chinese border for a long time.
