Nepali Congress Mahasamiti Meeting Commences: Crafting Party’s Official Policy
The Nepali Congress (NC) has launched its highly anticipated Mahasamiti meeting at the Sunrise Convention Centre in Godabari, Lalitpur. This significant gathering, coinciding with Democracy Day, aims to chart the party’s official policy direction under the leadership of party central President and former Prime Minister, Sher Bahadur Deuba.
Attended by a diverse array of participants, including 165 central committee office bearers, 1,780 Mahasamiti members representing electoral constituencies of the House of Representatives, 89 representatives from the Nepali Liaison Committees, and 69 delegates from sister and affiliated organizations, the event promises to be a forum for robust discussion and decision-making.
Scheduled to continue until February 22, the meeting underscores the NC’s commitment to democratic principles and inclusive decision-making processes. With the involvement of a broad spectrum of stakeholders, including grassroots representatives and party leadership, the Mahasamiti meeting is poised to shape the future trajectory of the Nepali Congress party.
