Nepali Congress Meeting Yields No Decision on Balkrishna Khand

Nepali Congress officials and former officials met on Thursday to discuss various issues, including the suspension of leader Balkrishna Khand. However, no decision was made on the matter. Joint General Secretary of the Nepali Congress Jeevan Pariyar spoke to reporters after the meeting and stated that the issue of suspension was discussed but no conclusion was reached.

Pariyar also mentioned that it would not be appropriate for the party to make an official statement on Khand’s suspension as he has not yet been found guilty by the court. Pariyar praised Khand for helping the police investigation after being arrested and said that he was ready for investigation.

During the meeting, the officials also had a serious discussion about the absence of a government in accordance with the ruling coalition in the centre in Koshi province. General Secretary Gagan Thapa and Joint General Secretary Bhishmaraj Angdembe were assigned to discuss this issue further.

Furthermore, the Citizenship Bill was also discussed during the meeting at the President’s Office. The Congress party has decided to seek the opinion of legal experts on this matter.

The meeting also discussed giving completeness to the central committee of fraternal organizations. The Congress party believes that this issue needs to be addressed with utmost importance.
