Nepali Embassy Urges Foreign Job Seekers to Obtain Labour Permits

The Nepali Embassy in Bangkok has urged individuals seeking employment abroad to obtain a government-issued labour permit before leaving the country.
The embassy highlighted that the absence of proper labour documentation has made it challenging to rescue Nepali nationals stranded in Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, and Thailand. Many of them, engaged in various forms of work without valid permits, have faced difficulties in seeking assistance.
Recently, the Nepali Embassy in Thailand facilitated the rescue of several Nepalis who had been forced into online scamming operations. They were repatriated to Nepal on Monday after being freed from Myawaddy, a town in southeastern Myanmar.
The embassy has reiterated its appeal to foreign job seekers, advising them not to be misled by promises of high earnings. It has urged them to carry verified documents, including a valid work permit, to ensure their safety and legal employment abroad.
