Nepali Golfer Subash Tamang Clinches Victory in IGU 122nd Amateur Golf Championship
Nepal’s rising golf star, Subash Tamang, emerged triumphant at the prestigious IGU 122nd Amateur Golf Championship of India, held at the Royal Kolkata Golf Club. In a gripping final showdown conducted in match-play format and spanning 36 holes, Subash secured a decisive victory over Indian golfer Rohit.
Displaying exceptional skill and composure, Subash dominated the competition, finishing with a commanding lead of 9 holes after the 29th hole. The win not only adds another feather to Subash’s cap but also reinforces Nepal’s presence on the international amateur golfing stage.
In the semi-final match held last Saturday, Subash showcased his prowess by defeating South Africa’s Altin Van Der Merwe, setting the stage for his ultimate triumph in the final round.
