Nepal’s Ambassador Dr. Shail Rupakheti Presents Credentials to German President
Nepal’s Ambassador to Germany, Dr. Shail Rupakheti, formally presented his Letters of Credence to German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier on December 18 at Schloss Bellevue, Berlin. The presentation took place during a ceremonial event, as confirmed by the Embassy of Nepal in Berlin.
Following the presentation, Ambassador Rupakheti was received in audience by President Steinmeier. During their discussion, the ambassador conveyed goodwill messages from Nepal’s President Ramchandra Paudel and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, emphasizing Nepal’s commitment to strengthening bilateral ties with Germany.
Ambassador Rupakheti also briefed the German President on Nepal’s current political landscape, geopolitical priorities, and the government’s focus on sustainable and inclusive socio-economic transformation. He expressed gratitude for Germany’s ongoing support in Nepal’s development endeavors.
President Steinmeier praised the strong and amicable relations between Nepal and Germany. He also reflected on his previous meeting with Nepal’s President Paudel at Schloss Bellevue on June 17, 2024, and expressed appreciation for the invitation extended by Nepal for an official visit.
The ceremony was attended by senior German government officials. Ambassador Rupakheti was accompanied by his spouse, Dr. Indira Paudyal, and Mr. Chuman Singh K C, Third Secretary at the Embassy of Nepal.
The event marks a significant step in further enhancing diplomatic relations between Nepal and Germany.
