The Nepal Medical Council (NMC) officially unveiled the results of the 68th doctor’s license examination, held from January 30 to February 2. The data revealed a notable improvement in the pass rate compared to the previous year.
Out of a total of 1,022 examinees, only 56.68% of medical professionals successfully passed the examination. The breakdown indicates a pass percentage of 55.96% for medical candidates and 61.05% for dental candidates. The results signify a positive shift from the 67th medical registration certificate examination, where only 46% of candidates secured a passing grade.
In the medical category, 737 candidates participated, while the dental category had 285 examinees. Candidates dissatisfied with their results have the option to request a re-evaluation by submitting an application to the Council’s email, along with a fee of one thousand five hundred rupees, within 35 days from the result publication.
For those who passed the examination and wish to obtain the registration certificate, an online application must be submitted within 35 days of the result announcement. The NMC informed that processing the certificate takes approximately 15 days from the request date.
Applicants obtaining the registration certificate are obligated to undergo biometric attendance, photo verification, signature examination, and certificate collection as part of the certification process. The NMC urges candidates to adhere to the specified timelines and procedures for a smooth and efficient certification process.
