No Update on Nepalese Hostage Bipin Joshi as Hamas Prepares for New Releases

As Hamas prepares to release another group of hostages on Thursday, concerns remain over the fate of Nepalese national Bipin Joshi, who was abducted during the October 7 attack and remains in captivity in Gaza.

The latest batch of hostages set for release includes three Israeli nationals—IDF soldier Agam Berger, 20, and civilians Arbel Yehoud, 29, and Gadi Moshe Mozes, 80—along with five Thai citizens, according to Israeli officials. Their names were communicated to Israel via mediators Egypt and Qatar.

While Israel has confirmed that eight Thai hostages, one Nepalese, and one Tanzanian national are still held in Gaza, it has also declared two Thai citizens and the Tanzanian hostage as deceased. There has been no official update on the condition of Bipin Joshi, who was working on an Israeli farm when he was taken hostage. His family in Nepal continues to await news amid ongoing diplomatic efforts to secure his release.

As negotiations unfold, international pressure continues to mount for the release of all remaining hostages, including foreign nationals.
