
NRNA Australia Expresses Interest in Expanding Investment in Nepal


The Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) Australia has conveyed its interest in increasing investments in Nepal, emphasizing the need for a more favorable investment climate in the country.
During a meeting with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Thursday evening, NRNA Australia President Anil Pokhrel shared that the Nepali diaspora in Australia is eager to expand its investment footprint in Nepal. He highlighted the community’s strong interest in contributing to Nepal’s development and expressed optimism about opportunities for deeper economic engagement.
Speaking to the Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS), Pokhrel said the meeting primarily focused on strategies to facilitate investment by the NRN community and to enhance economic cooperation between the two countries.
The discussions also touched upon the economic contributions of the Nepali diaspora in both Australia and Nepal, the use of trade and investment promotion frameworks, and efforts to strengthen bilateral relations between the two nations.
