Odisha Govt Sets Up 24/7 Help Desk for KIIT Students’ Welfare

The Odisha Higher Education Department has established a 24/7 help desk to assist students affected by the recent tragic incident at Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT), Bhubaneswar. The initiative aims to ensure the safety, security, and academic interests of the students.

Kali Prasanna Mohapatra, IAS, Director of Higher Education, has been appointed as the Nodal Officer, with Dr. Rajata Manasingh, Deputy Director, assisting in the operations. A dedicated team of nine personnel will be available round the clock to handle inquiries and provide support. The help desk has been activated immediately and will assist students in returning safely, addressing personal concerns, and ensuring academic continuity.

Students and parents have been encouraged to reach out for support through the designated helpline numbers and WhatsApp service. The department has assured that all necessary measures will be taken to facilitate the well-being of students and their smooth return to academic life.
