Officiating PM Prakashman Singh Convenes All-Party Meeting to Address Nationwide Disaster Situation
Officiating Prime Minister Prakashman Singh has called an all-party meeting at 1:00 PM at Singha Durbar to discuss the severe damage caused by rain-induced floods and landslides across Nepal. The decision follows detailed updates on the disaster situation provided by Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak, security officials, and other authorities. Singh emphasized the need for coordinated relief efforts involving security forces, government agencies, and local communities. He extended condolences to victims’ families and urged the public to stay safe as heavy rainfall continues, stressing unity and fraternity during this crisis.
The National Emergency Operations Center under the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority is leading rescue and relief operations. Singh also called for caution and restricted movement, following meteorologists’ warnings that rainfall is expected to continue.
