Ongoing Lalita Niwas Investigation a ‘Drama’, Claims Oli
CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has accused the government of engaging in a political stunt with regards to the ongoing investigation into the Lalita Niwas land misappropriation scam. Speaking at a program on Friday, Oli expressed his belief that the government’s actions in this case are merely aimed at projecting an image of being anti-corruption, rather than pursuing genuine justice.
According to Oli, the Lalita Niwas case has already been resolved and the current investigation is nothing more than a theatrical production. He dismissed the government’s efforts as a mere show, stating, “It’s just a stunt to show itself as a hero. This government will do nothing else.”
Oli went on to claim that if any progress is made in the investigation, individuals associated with the ruling alliance would inevitably be implicated. He emphasized that the UML party, of which he is the chairman, upholds principles of cleanliness, transparency, the rule of law, and a democratic system.
