Pakistani Ambassador paid farewell call to Vice President Pun
The Ambassador of Pakistan to Nepal, Syed Haider Shah paid a farewell call to the Vice President of Nepal, Nanda Bahadur Pun.
During the meeting, Ambassador Shah thanked Vice President Pun and expressed gratitude for his continued support to the Embassy of Pakistan throughout his tenure. He also thanked Vice President Pun for the relief items sent by the Government of Nepal to Pakistan for flood affectees and expressed gratitude for this timely assistance.
Similarly, he recalled the Vice President’s attendance at National and Independence Days Receptions of Pakistan as Chief Guest.
In the meeting, Vice President Pun also appreciated Pakistan’s generous support to Nepalese students for their education in the field of medical and technical education in Pakistan. He also appreciated Ambassador Shah’s active role and initiative in providing medical assistance to Nepal during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Furthermore, Vice President expressed his best wishes for the outgoing Ambassador Sah, his family, and Pakistan Embassy’s endeavors in the future.
Various matters related to mutual interest between the two countries were also discussed in the meeting.
At the end of the meeting, Vice President Pun provided a traditional Nepali Ceremonial Scarf (Khada) and Dhaka Cap to the Ambassador Syed Haider Shah.
