Parliament Meeting Delayed

The scheduled parliament meeting for 11 a.m. this morning has been delayed after the main opposition party, Nepali Congress, demanded time to address the assembly.

Originally planned for Thursday afternoon, the meeting was rescheduled for 11 a.m. Friday due to chaos and scuffles between ruling and opposition parties.

Currently, members of both the ruling and opposition parties are in discussions.

During Thursday’s session, Nepali Congress picketed the rostrum as Speaker Dev Raj Ghimire initiated proceedings. Tensions escalated when Speaker Ghimire granted time to Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane, resulting in a scuffle between lawmakers from both sides.
