Parliamentary Committee Summons Officials for Discussion on Surya Darshan Cooperative Scam

The State Affairs and Good Governance Committee of the House of Representatives has called upon Home Secretary Ek Narayan Aryal, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Basanta Kunwar, and former Chief of the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) AIG Shyam Gyawali for a discussion.
Chairman Ramhari Khatiwada announced that the aforementioned officials are summoned for discussion during Wednesday’s committee meeting.
This summons comes amidst ongoing investigations into the alleged involvement in the Surya Darshan Cooperative scam.
The Nepali Congress has accused Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane of complicity in this fraudulent activity, further intensifying the scrutiny surrounding the scandal.
