Partial Rain Expected in Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki

The influence of the westerly wind and a low-pressure system is partially affecting Nepal’s weather conditions today.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces will experience partly to generally cloudy skies, while the rest of the country will see partly cloudy conditions. Foggy weather has also been observed in some areas of the Terai region.

This afternoon, the hilly regions are expected to remain partly to generally cloudy, with the rest of the country experiencing partly cloudy conditions. Light snowfall is likely at one or two locations in the high hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces. Additionally, light snowfall is forecasted in a few places across the high hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim, as well as at one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous areas of Bagmati province.

The Department has advised authorities to take necessary precautions against the impact of foggy weather, particularly in the Terai region.
