
Party Action Lifted: 14 Leaders Rejoin Nepali Congress


The Nepali Congress (NC) has decided to withdraw party action against 14 leaders who were elected from the provincial assembly election held in November last year and the local body election held in March last year. The decision was taken during the central working committee meeting of the party, as confirmed by NC General Secretary Bishwo Prakash Sharma. He stated that the action was revoked after the representatives acknowledged their mistake and pledged to abide by the party’s statute in the future.
These 14 leaders had contested the elections against the official candidates of the coalition that the NC had formed with other parties. As a result of the recent decision, these leaders have been rehabilitated back into the party, and their positions are as follows:
Jangilal Raya: Provincial Constituency 2 (A), Sarlahi
Devendra Bahadur Shahi: Provincial Constituency 1 (A), Jumla
Navaraj Shahi: Chief of District Coordination Committee, Dailekh
Raju Singh Kathayat: Mayor of Chandannath, Jumla
Manoj Kumar Sah: Mayor of Janakpurdham Sub-metropolitan City, Dhanusha
Pralhad Kumar Chhetri: Mayor of Bardibas Municipality, Mahottari
Taradevi Mahato: Deputy Mayor of Bardibas Municipality, Mahottari
Bhola Khadka: Chairman of Bardibas-1, Mahottari
Ram Swagarat Yadav: Chairman of Bardibas-7, Mahottari
Bijay Kumar Mahato: Chairman of Bardibas-14, Mahottari
Bindeshwar Sah: Municipal Legislative Member of Bardibas Municipality, Mahottari
Akal Tamang: Chairman of Bardibas-4, Mahottari
Pramod Moktan: Chairman of Bardibas-10, Mahottari
Laxman Sen Singh: Chairman of Bardibas-13, Mahottari
