Party to Review Evaluation Report Amid Concerns of Weakening: Shishir Khanal

Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) lawmaker Shishir Khanal has announced that the party will conduct a comprehensive review of the evaluation report recently submitted to party President Rabi Lamichhane by General Secretary Mukul Dhakal.

Speaking to the media at the Federal Parliament Building on Thursday, Khanal highlighted concerns raised within the party regarding its overall strength. Following the party’s lackluster performance in the Ilam by-elections, Khanal stated that members had expressed worries about potential weaknesses across various fronts.

“To address these concerns, the party assigned General Secretary Dhakal to engage with grassroots units and gather their feedback,” Khanal explained. “His report, compiled after consultations in 38 districts, aims to provide a clear assessment of our current standing.”

Khanal emphasized that the party intends to disclose the findings of the report after a thorough examination.

General Secretary Dhakal presented his evaluation report to President Lamichhane on Wednesday, marking a pivotal step in the party’s internal assessment process. The report, informed by extensive consultations with party members and leaders, is expected to guide future strategies aimed at strengthening the RSP.
