Petitions filed at Supreme Court against RSP Chair Lamichhane
A petition has been filed in the Supreme Court (SC) demanding action against the Chairman of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) and former Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane.
A writ petition has been filed against Lamichhane for the crime of misusing passport.
Yuvraj Paudel ‘Safal’ filed a writ demanding to take appropriate action against the former Home Minister.
The writ petitioner has made the Attorney General’s office an opponent in the case for the latter’s decision not to pursue the case against Lamichhane.
The police had earlier investigated RSP chair Lamichhane for allegedly misusing the passport.
However, both the police and the public prosecutor’s office decided not to prosecute him lately saying Lamichhane was not found to have misused the passport.
