
Photo Exhibition Showcasing Nepal’s Diversity Held in Sydney


A photo exhibition reflecting Nepal’s rich cultural and natural diversity was held in Sydney, Australia, to mark the 11th anniversary of the media platform Nepal News Australia. The exhibition was organized by the Manghari Foundation and featured stunning images captured by photographer Bharat Bandhu Thapa.
A total of 22 photographs showcasing Nepal’s landscapes, traditions, and heritage were put on display. Nepali Ambassador to Australia, Chitralekha Yadav, attended the event as the Chief Guest. Speaking on the occasion, Ambassador Yadav emphasized the exhibition’s role in promoting Nepal’s tourism sector and encouraged Nepalis living in Australia to visit their homeland frequently.
Other speakers highlighted the significance of such exhibitions in introducing Nepal’s lesser-known cultural heritage to a global audience. Sanjeev Sharma, Consul of New South Wales, described the photographs as a “living mirror of Nepal”, capturing its essence for the world to see.
During the event, photographer Thapa presented a photo book to Ambassador Yadav and Consul Sharma as a token of appreciation. The exhibition was praised for fostering cultural connection and enhancing Nepal’s visibility on the international stage.
