PM Dahal’s Announcement: India Approves Air Permission for Nepal’s GBIA

During a joint press conference held at Hyderabad House, Nepalese Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda revealed that Nepal has obtained air permission from India for the border area of Gautam Buddha International Airport, situated in Rupandehi.

Prime Minister Prachanda, alongside Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, announced this significant development, highlighting that India has granted air permission for the designated border area of Gautam Buddha International Airport.

Furthermore, Prime Minister Prachanda disclosed that Nepal and India have reached an agreement to prepare a Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the Pancheshwar project. It was mutually decided that the DPR would be completed within a span of three months, with efforts to expedite progress in the following year.

Additionally, Prime Minister Prachanda emphasized the economic significance of the bilateral relationship, stating that India holds the position of Nepal’s largest trading partner.

In terms of language, the press conference witnessed Prime Minister Modi delivering his address in Hindi, while Prime Minister Prachanda opted to speak in English.
