PM KP Sharma Oli Urges Mid-West University to Focus on Modern, Technical, and Quality Education
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has called on Mid-West University to set its goals towards providing modern, technical, and quality education. Speaking at the 15th Senate meeting of the university, held at the official residence of the Prime Minister in Baluwatar today, PM Oli, who is also the chancellor of the university, emphasized the need for the institution to undertake initiatives that significantly contribute to the overall educational development of the country.
Highlighting the role of the university in the Karnali Province, the Prime Minister urged the institution to serve as a catalyst for a new awakening in the region. He reiterated that the government’s focus remains on fostering positive transformation and development across the nation.
The meeting, chaired by Minister for Education, Science, and Technology and Pro-Chancellor of the University, Bidya Bhattarai, discussed the university’s policy, program, and budget for the current fiscal year.
During the session, Vice-Chancellor of Mid-West University, Prof. Dr. Dhurba Kumar Gautam, appealed to the government for the approval of 131 teaching positions to meet the growing academic demands of the institution.
