PM Modi Declares ‘Operation Sindoor’ as India’s New Anti-Terror Doctrine, Warns Pakistan Against “Nuclear Blackmail”

In his first national address following the launch of Operation Sindoor, Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a forceful message asserting India’s unwavering resolve against terrorism and issued a stern warning to Pakistan, stating that India will not tolerate any form of “nuclear blackmail.”
The Prime Minister declared that Operation Sindoor marks a strategic shift in India’s counter-terrorism doctrine, describing it as a new red line drawn in the country’s defense policy. “Operation Sindoor is not just a name; it is a declaration of India’s will turned into action,” Modi said, emphasizing that over 100 terrorists were neutralized during the operation, which showcased India’s determination on the global stage.
Modi stated that military action against Pakistan had only been temporarily paused, and future steps would be contingent upon Pakistan’s conduct. He revealed that Islamabad had pleaded for a halt to the offensive, which New Delhi considered only after Pakistan pledged to end its cross-border misadventures.
“Terror and talks cannot coexist. Terror and trade cannot go hand in hand. Water and blood can never flow together,” the Prime Minister said, reiterating India’s long-standing position that peace cannot prevail while terrorism is tolerated.
He accused the Pakistani establishment — both its military and civilian leadership — of nurturing and weaponizing terrorism, warning that this strategy would eventually lead to Pakistan’s own downfall. “They dared to wipe the sindoor from the foreheads of our sisters, and that is why India struck at the very heart of terror,” he declared.
Modi portrayed Operation Sindoor as not only a counter-terror operation but also a symbol of national justice, adding that every terrorist must now understand the cost of attacking India. “This is not an era of war… but it is not an era of terrorism either,” he said, stressing the need for the international community to adopt zero tolerance against terror.
The Prime Minister concluded his address with a resolute message: “Operation Sindoor is India’s pledge for justice. It has set a new benchmark, a new normal — one that the world will remember, and terrorists will fear.”
