PM Modi Unveils Ram Lalla Idol at Grand Ayodhya Temple
In a momentous event today, India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi, alongside Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and Governor Anandiben Patel, unveiled the revered Ram Lalla idol at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya. The unveiling took place during the pran pratishtha ceremony, marking a significant milestone in the construction and consecration of the Ram Temple.
The 161-feet tall pink sandstone shrine stood witness to the consecration ceremony, where Prime Minister Modi actively participated in the rituals. Dressed in a golden kurta and a cream dhoti, he expressed his joy at being part of this “divine program,” acknowledging the emotional significance of the moment.
“The extraordinary moment of the consecration of Shri Ram Lala’s life in Ayodhya Dham is going to leave everyone emotional,” PM Modi shared on X in Hindi.
The newly consecrated 51-inch idol of Ram Lalla, meticulously carved by Mysuru-based sculptor Arun Yogiraj, had been brought to the temple premises on January 17. It was then placed in the sanctum sanctorum of the Ram Janmabhoomi temple on January 18.
The consecration ceremony continues to captivate the nation’s attention, symbolizing a moment of cultural and religious significance that resonates across India. The Ram Temple in Ayodhya stands as a testament to the collective aspirations and faith of millions, and the pran pratishtha ceremony marks a historic step in the realization of a long-standing dream.
