PM Oli and Thai PM Shinawatra Hold Bilateral Talks

Nepal’s Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, currently on an official visit to Thailand, held a meeting with his Thai counterpart, Prime Minister Paetongtran Shinawatra, on Tuesday.

The meeting was attended by Foreign Minister Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba, PM Oli’s Chief Advisor Bishnu Prasad Rimal, Economic Development Advisor Dr. Yub Raj Khatiwada, Chief Secretary Eaknarayan Aryal, and Foreign Ministry Secretary Amrit Bahadur Rai, among others.

Earlier, Thai Prime Minister Shinawatra welcomed PM Oli at a government building in Thailand. As per the Foreign Ministry, the two leaders are set to sign an agreement to enhance collaboration in the culture and tourism sectors. Additionally, six memoranda of understanding (MoUs) will be exchanged between non-governmental and business organizations from both countries.

Following the agreements, the two prime ministers will address a joint press conference. PM Oli is also scheduled to attend a luncheon hosted by his Thai counterpart and hold a courtesy meeting with King Maha Vajiralongkorn. He will return to Nepal on April 5.
