PM Oli Assures Support for Youth Development

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting the all-round development of youths.

Speaking at the National Cadet Corps (NCC) SN 19 Senior Division Pass-out Parade at Tundikhel, PM Oli emphasized the importance of disciplined and patriotic youth in nation-building.

Highlighting the NCC’s motto, ‘Discipline is the Main Foundation of Nation Service,’ the PM encouraged cadets to enhance their leadership skills, follow moral conduct, and dedicate themselves to the nation’s development. He expressed confidence that the training would inspire selfless service among the youths.

First Lady Radhika Shakya, Defence Minister Manbir Rai, NPC Vice-Chairman Prof Dr Shiva Raj Adhikari, Chief of Army Staff Ashok Raj Sigdel, KMC Deputy Mayor Sunita Dangol, and security chiefs attended the event. Delegations from India’s NCC, Maldives, and Bhutan Scouts were also present.

Established in 2022 BS, the NCC has enrolled 7,704 students this fiscal year, with plans to increase the number to 11,550 next year. To date, 82,184 individuals have graduated from the NCC.
