PM Oli Calls Emergency Cabinet Meeting Amid Escalating Protests

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has convened an emergency cabinet meeting at 8 PM on Friday following the outbreak of violence during pro-monarchy protests.

According to sources from the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, the meeting was called in response to escalating tensions in Kathmandu, where demonstrations turned violent.

Authorities have imposed a curfew in the Tinkune area to contain the unrest. Additionally, the Nepal Army has been deployed to maintain order as the situation remains tense.
