PM Oli Meets with Finnish and Samoan Leaders on Sidelines of UNGA in New York
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, currently in New York leading the Nepali delegation to the 79th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), held separate meetings with Finland’s President Alexander Stubb and Samoa’s Prime Minister Fiame Naomi Mataʻafa on Tuesday.
Meeting with Finland’s President
In a meeting held at the United Nations headquarters, PM Oli and Finnish President Stubb discussed areas of mutual cooperation and international affairs. Accompanying Oli were his chief advisor Bishnu Prasad Rimal, Foreign Secretary Sewa Lamsal, and Nepal’s permanent representative to the UN, Lok Bahadur Thapa, among others.
Talks with Samoa’s Prime Minister
Later in the day, PM Oli met with Samoa’s Prime Minister Fiame Naomi Mataʻafa at the Samoan Permanent Mission to the UN. The two leaders exchanged views on strengthening bilateral ties and collaborating on global issues. PM Oli was again joined by his chief advisor, Foreign Secretary, and permanent representative to the UN.
Both meetings were part of PM Oli’s series of high-level engagements during the UNGA, aiming to enhance Nepal’s diplomatic relations and international presence.
