PM Urges All State Bodies to Focus on Citizen Safety from Monsoon Hazards
Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has directed all state authorities to focus solely on protecting the lives of people affected by monsoon floods, disasters, and inundation. While taking updates on the losses caused by the monsoon from the Singha Durbar-based control room today, the Prime Minister instructed all state bodies to prioritize rescue and relief efforts for affected citizens.
Expressing grief over the loss of lives and properties due to monsoon disasters in various parts of the country, the Prime Minister expressed concern about the potential for significant losses from monsoon-triggered hazards this season. He urged all government entities to respond with full strength to ensure the safety of the people and mitigate potential losses.
The Prime Minister also called on citizens to remain alert to possible disasters and urged political parties, civil societies, and social organizations to join hands in mitigating disaster risks and ensuring the safety of the citizens.
