Police Head Constable and Three Others Arrested for Robbery in Bhaktapur
A Head Constable of the Nepal Police Armed Force two number battalion and three accomplices have been apprehended by the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office for allegedly looting Rs 20 million from the residence of Dilli Raj Raut in Bhaktapur.
The suspects, identified as Muna Raj Rai, Bhim Bahadur Tamang, Krishna Bahadur Bohora (the Head Constable), and Sujan Rasaili, reportedly impersonated officers from the Central Investigation Department of Nepal Police to gain entry into Raut’s home on June 28. They then stole the substantial sum from his cupboard.
Kul Bahadur Khatri, believed to be the mastermind behind the robbery and Raut’s maternal uncle, remains at large.
SP Angjur Joshi of the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office confirmed the arrests, highlighting the ongoing investigation into this daring heist that has shaken the community in Dadhiot, Bhaktapur.
